Fuck Cancer!

Let's lend Mike a hand

@UXMike: Michael died this day around noon. He was loved by so many. Thank you to everyone for the thoughts and prayers. Rest in peace, Michael. Posted at 12:53 PM on August 16, 2010

Update: On Thursday, August 12th, Mike was released into hospice care so that he may spend his remaining days in the comfort of his home, surrounded by the warmth of his loving family. Though we have surpassed our initial fundraising goal, every little bit is appreciated and we encourage you to continue donating and spreading the word about Mike Wilkey. The real struggle is only just beginning for this young family and they could really use all the help and support we can muster.

Mike Wilkey rocks

Michael Wilkey: I'm free!

Mike was a loving husband, wonderful father to three beautiful children and kickass UX designer at Fallon Community Health Plan. While working his ass off to support his family, promote User Experience Design in his company and improve the experience of Health Plan members, Mike was also dealing with the effects of cancer and chemotherapy. On top of that, thanks to the crappy economy, Mike and his family recently lost their house.

Mike's family could use some UX-community love more than ever and we'd like to help them out. Any donation you're able to make would be very greatly appreciated.
